I have just been admiring your beautifully crafted Farm animal tiles and fallen in love with them to be honest! We are busy renovating our kitchen and I am looking to tile the space above my stove, which is of course the focal point of my kitchen. I am not sure of the measurement yet but my stove is the average, standard gas hob and oven with the extractor fan above it. I am looking to tile it in white tiles with hopefully your farm animal tiles in a 1:5 ratio – so I was wondering if it is possible for you to produce the farm animals on a plain white tile. My husband visibly paled when I casually mentioned the price of the tiles so I would obviously need to intersperse your tiles with the more cheaper ‘mass produced’ commercial tiles available – these plain tiles would also form the single row ‘splashback’ around the perimeter of the kitchen.
I know this is a very small commission for you but I was wondering if it is possible and what advice or suggestions you could offer me. I am in Bergvliet in Cape Town but my Mom-in-law lives in Kleinmond and can be my courier if needs be.

 The tiles on the www.handmadetile.co.za are available at less 25%, and we have more stock available that is not listed.
We have a special offer for all new prepaid orders, less 20% for 30 working day deadlines and less 30% for 45 working day deadlines. I would suggest that you use this offer to do at least the splash back behind the stove as a unit with our tiles. Our tiles are in a league of its own and if the diameters are approximately 1000mm wide by 800mm wide, you will be looking at 16 animal tiles and 64 plain at a after discount price of approximately R5000 on customized handmade pressed tiles with a super white glaze. The animals will be approximately R3300 and the plain tiles R1700. - please note this offer has expired and the current discount will be less 20% for a 45 working day deadline.
If we custom make the tiles for you on white, the animals will cost approximately R185 – R227.50 after 30% discount depending on the final process.

During the renovation of our kitchen I undertook to source beautiful, hand crafted ceramic tiles that reflected the style and nature of our home. It was not an easy task! I was absolutely thrilled to discover Southern Art Ceramic Design. Going to the workshop and meeting Gerrit was an inspiring and enlightening experience. I could have spent hours there. Although my project to tile the splashback of my hob was a very small one, I was so impressed with the genuine attention and excellent service I got. Gerrit has such a creative passion for what he does that it is easy for it to rub off on you. Each member of my family chose their own farmyard animal and I absolutely love the result. The tiles have added a special, personal touch to the heart of my home. Lots of friends have commented on how the tiles are full of life... that is just what I wanted! |
