Where have clients used these tiles before?

IN KITCHENS: As luxurious backdrops behind AGA stoves.
IN WALLS: These tiles were inserted flush with the plaster. Only one arttile on a wall and the whole surrounding area will be a happier place.
IN BATHROOMS: Inserted into the screed on the floor.
IN FLOORS: Used as inserts in terracotta and stone floors and most of our commissions regarding these tiles are for floors, to be used as inserts or blended with plain colours from Southern Art Ceramic Design.
ABOVE FIREPLACES: We were commissioned to create hexagonal tiles, cracked in several pieces, for installation above the hearth.
FOUNTAINS AND POOLS: As inserts in an octagonal fountain.

Can I customise these arttiles?

Yes, the size, shape, colour and/or decoration can be customised.
Most of these orders are customized with the colours of the interior supplied as part of the brief. Fabrics and paint swatches are all we need to paint the perfect tile for your dream room.

Do you have any special notes regarding these tiles?

These tiles are fired to stoneware temperatures, are extremely durable and will be around for generations to come.
These tiles are extruded and “manhandled” to create the desired “old and antique” patina! Orders for these take longer than usual due to the making and slow decorating processes!
We regard cracks as normal and think that it adds to the unique qualities of these tiles. If you request customized orders specify the percentage of cracked tiles that will be acceptable. With the bigger sized and shaped tiles be prepared to pay up to 300% more due to a loss rate of up to 90% on these bigger tiles.
